My Baby VAIO (the one at the back there obviously, not the book)
So, I still remember the day I got my first laptop - Baby VAIO - five years ago. That day was the day that my cousin got engaged but I didn't attend the ceremony because my dad was buying me a new laptop!! Oh come on, it's just an engagement. On a side note, I was my cousin's wife last minute pengapit during their wedding okay, so I made it up to them already haha.
I was fifteen (teringat lagu Taylor Swift hahha okay Bihah no) and I was getting a new laptop, of course I would bail on anything else in the world for it. I want to choose the perfect laptop that will stay with me forever and ever and ever and ever.............oh boy, I was wrong.
I think, after 5 years, my baby is no longer a baby anymore. It has crashed once, but we made it through. But now, it's just failing on me. Well, first and foremost, my laptop can only live for 10 minutes without the adaptor. I thought I could live with this (hey my name spells patience) but when it's a printing emergency and there's only one plug for the socket, of course it is for the printer and this is when the laptop would just die, helplessly. But well, there are solutions to this (which requires effort but yeah) like you know, actually using an extension, which I did and it worked.
But not until last week. I was busy dealing with university, applying for UK Visa and you know, all the important stuff for my future, when something horrible happened. I plug in my laptop's charger, and it goes charging, NOT, charging, NOT, charging, NOT, a vicious cycle that ended up with NOT. I told you my laptop only lives for 10 minutes right..... Oh my god, I went through a nervous breakdown! My heart broke! "OH COME ON THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT TIME TO FAIL ON ME" *cries a river*
And once again, I found a solution. All I need to do to keep the laptop charging is by holding the charger's wire into my laptop port (I don't know how to explain this in writing but just don't judge me!!). And by holding it, it would mean not letting go of it. So now, someone please tell how am I suppose to type and also navigate the cursor with only one hand!
Well the point of this post is, I need a new laptop. Repairing this laptop, would cost me the same amount that I could have spend on a new one. No, Baby, I am not ditching you, but you know it's time right?
So, without any hesitation, I have decided to buy a new VAIO laptop. Like you know, I'm not looking at any other brands, VAIO is just the best right, Baby?
So, one day, I went to the Sony Centre to survey on my future laptop. I walked in and I was like, oh cool Xperia yada yada yada. I couldn't find the laptop section so I asked the sales assistant. To my horror, she said, "Sony no longer produce VAIO."
OH. MY. GOD.
I can't even explain how disappointed I was. Oh come one Sony! After all these years?! Why did you waste money and time on waterproof smartphones when you could create like a notebook that have a longer battery life or something!!! Ugh, up until right now, I am still pissed. How can they just stop producing VAIO?! Impossible I tell you.
