Of Lobster Roll and Courgette Fries
Today, I had lunch with a new friend I made in Queen Mary, Amira.
We head over to a lobster joint, Smack Lobster Deli near Bond Street which is apparently (I quote) "the naughty little sister of Burger and Lobster". A cheaper version I would say....
We talked and talked for hours. Life is just so full of dramas, doesn't it?
Today, I realised that everyone has their own battle to survive and everyone just has so many things to be grateful of. If you don't, I do.
Thank you Allah for everything. For creating lobsters especially, yums!
PS : I googled courgette and apparently it is another word for zucchini. "Oh laaaa"
Malaysian Nottingham Games
If you want to know, Malaysian Nottingham Games is one of the most awaited event of the year for Malaysians in the UK. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this event is a 30-years-old tradition that has been going on ever since. Just like any other Malaysians, I was looking forward to it too! I mean, how can you not, there's Malaysian fooooood (expensive though haih).
I bought the train ticket to Nottingham almost a month early, so excited! My train was super early in the morning and I actually took a shower at 6 am!! So proud of myself. Atul and I went to King's Cross St Pancras and gathered up with Najwa and Fatin there. Mind you, we were early for our train that's leaving at 8.13 am. Every now and then we looked up at the screen to check for our train's platform, but nothing new seem to be coming up. So what else would we do other than wasting time? Haha.
We even caught up with our fellow schoolmate, Hana. What a surprise to have her here with us!
I am so proud of myself that I spend most of my time with my best friends and not KY people. No hard feelings but KY Reunion was exactly a week ago and why should I spend time again with them right. But fine lahhh, one picture lah.......
We were rather unlucky for both of our train rides to and from Nottingham were super noisy and we got so irritated (not just us, mind you!). But all in all, it was another great day. Alhamdulillah.

Haha just look at these two!! I can't stop laughing when I saw them first thing in the morning. They look so much alike. Hahahahah. People who don't know them well always get confused between them. But honestly, once you know them, they are VERY different. Back in KY, I made a joke on how they both always have the same thing. "Buy 1 free 1 package" hahhaha and normally both of them will be fighting on who gets the 'free' one. Love these two long time!
So anyway, back to our train story. We were early, but guess what, we missed our train!! Up to right now I still have no idea how that happened but we just missed it. Unbelievable. Acting as innocent as possible, we hopped on the next train to Nottingham. When the conductor asked for our tickets, I was crying inside but Alhamdulillah he let us pass.
We reached Nottingham at about 10-ish and since it's Fatin's second time there, she led the way. I saw Chatime along the way and get super hyped! I miss Chatime!! (cries a river). Even though we doubted Fatin's credibility, Alhamdulillah she got us there and guess what, the minute we arrived at University of Nottingham, Fatin embarrassed us. Haiya this girl ah.
So first, we met some KY friends (yeaaah, KY people everywhere, who else would we meet) Then, I was about to contact someone, when that someone walked right in front of me. I hugged her so tight mashaAllah, only Allah knows how much I miss Anis! Anis, my best friend from lower form in high school who after PMR ditched me alone for a sekolah teknik, ugh. Oh well, history is in the past. We lived in the same country but I can finally meet her here of all places.
After some brief catching up, I head over to the food area. Woots! There, I was reunited with my high school best friends, Alia and Afiq. #gangtiangsbu #ukversion #5ScAlpha I would say it is one of my happiest days in UK. When you're with your best friends, you never ran out of things to talk about you know. Even with the awkward Afiq. Same place, just a different background. I really wish the rest of the gang were with us (well technically they were, on Whatsapp, haha). And guess what? I actually spent the whole day talking to them. THE WHOLE DAY.
We even caught up with our fellow schoolmate, Hana. What a surprise to have her here with us!

Time is almost up, Fatin, Najwa, Atul and I were kinda late for our train (not again!) Haha but no worries, we made it!

KY Reunion in London!
Saturday, 15th of November was such a lovely day for me! KYUEM Reunion was held at Pimlico Academy and KY people from all over the UK head down to London for this. It was so nice seeing familiar faces.
It has only been 5 months since I left KY, and I have truly missed it (not the A Level part though)
So, the event was suppose to be packed with activities but oh well what activity?! Everyone was just so excited meeting friends, no one even bother doing anything else other than talking (and eating). Haha I think even the organisers were too busy with their friends that they forgot about the activities. But no worries, there's just so much catching up to do!
It feels so surreal you know, from living in the jungle, now we are all scattered all over the world. Different weather, different scene but the same people. Same ol' same ol'.
We sure did took a lot photos. Here are some.
BATCH 15.0
The bunch
Another bunch
That's just me, busy talking
Sapphire High Committee 13/14, missing out a few but always in our hearts!
Did I tell you Sapphire won Bangsawan this year?
HELL YEAH.

Soon-to-be a Potterhead
So right after I'm done with Gilmore Girls, I straightaway start with a new marathon. A change of air, I'm going for movies instead. Just because Gilmore Girls was a long long loooooong ride. Haha.
Last Monday is actually the last day that I'll be having mid-term test. Do you want to know how dreadful my life is!! You see, in my university (Queen Mary, University of London), I am registered under the School of Economics and Finance. In the middle of the term, the School provides us a reading week. Well, by the name of it supposedly, you have to catch up on your reading (DUH) which means no lectures and tutorials, basically a break from university. Informally, for a Malaysian student like me, it's time to visit your friends all around the UK (woohoo, I've never been out of London yet!).
What woohoo....
The downside of being a joint honours student is that you're linked to two different schools. Since my degree is for Economics, Statistics and Mathematics, I'm also bonded to the School of Mathematical Sciences. Of all the time, School of Mathematical Sciences decided to give us mid-term tests right in the middle of my reading week, the THURSDAY. So basically, I have a test a day before my reading week, in the middle of my reading week and also a day after. JOY. So much joy I tell you.
I actually read a lot during my reading week okay. Such a good kid Bihah is.
So on Monday, the minute I got home, I was like "PARTAYYYY!" But oh well, my kind of party involves Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and an iron. Hahaahha yes I actually watched two Harry Potter movies while ironing my bed sheet and duvet cover.
I've actually done this marathon before but you know, why not again? I have always love the storyline. It's not a typical story you know and it still amazes me to this day how J.K. Rowling single-handedly (well maybe she had help) created this series solely out of her imagination. Damn, she's a genius!
So that night before I went to bed, I went online and.......
LOOK WHAT I GOT TODAYY!
Yeap, the first picture says it all! A complete paperback collection of the Harry Potter series with nicer covers! I am so all about judging a book by its cover, hehe. They look nice don't they? I felt all so giddy when I got this from the delivery guy. I am so happy I can't even describe it. And they're not even expensive, pretty affordable. Thank God for Amazon! :)
I'm so glad that I finally have something to read. And I guess buying it right after my mid-term tests is probably the right time, ey? I hope so.
PS : Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella is next line! Can't wait for that too hihi :D

Gilmore Girls
I thought I have blogged about me finishing the whole 8 seasons of Monk, you know, the TV show about this private investigator Adrian Monk who has obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) problem. But when I checked my blog posts (which I don't always do, haha) apparently there is nothing about Monk. I probably just tweeted it. So yeah, did I tell you I finished the whole 8 seasons right BEFORE my A Level exam? Yeap, kalau tak tengok mesti dah dapat straight As kot... Haha just kidding, I would say watching this show is a getaway from all the studying madness, to keep me sane okay!
But anyway, it was a wonderful eight seasons with Mr Monk, with Sharona for the first 3 seasons and Natalie for the rest of it. Alongside with Captain Stottlemeyer and Randy Disher. Oh my god, I miss them! I have to say, Monk's ending definitely gave a peaceful closure for the watchers. Well, it did, for me.
So anyway, Monk is not what you read on the post title right?
You know how these days there are like bagajilion TV shows out there. Some has ended, some still running. And then there are shows that "YOU MUST WATCH" and also shows who were cut short because of low ratings etc. I have to admit, I love TV shows! You know the feeling when you're hooked to something, the feeling "OMG WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT!". You know that? I love it especially when you feel like you have a personal relationship with the characters.
After A Level, of course I wanted to do what everyone else is doing, wasting money and time. Since I don't have that much money to begin with (I don't get allowance if I'm home, poor Bihah) I opted for the latter. TIME-WASTING. My forte I tell you, haha. And why not, start a TV show marathon?
I got a lot of suggestions from people around me. "Watch Suits Bihah!" "You are sooooo gonna love Sherlock!" "Bihah tengok Game of Thrones best gilaaa" Yada yada yada. Honestly, I would only watch a TV show that has already ended. You know why? Because I don't have the patience to wait one week for the next episode, or months for the next season. I just cannot. It's like, you'll lose momentum you know once you stopped and I don't like that. One more thing, if the show is still running, I do not want to risk reading spoilers on Twitter. You know how mulut tempayan people on Twitter are right? Nope, not gonna risk it.
So one day, I went to my sister's room and stand in front of her DVD rack. She can open a DVD store I tell you! Not that I'm complaining on a free access to movies and TV series hehe. I picked Gilmore Girls, just because my sister has the complete 7 seasons of it. And there you go.....
I made it through all the seven seasons of Gilmore Girls! It was so funny, a drama that revolves around a tiny town, Stars Hollow. Obviously from the name, the show is about a mother-daughter relationship between Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Unlike any other typical series, I would say it's one of a kind with its witty remarks which I mostly do not understand haha. I read online, this show has the longest script per episode in the U.S. They do speak fast okay!!
Twas a fun ride with this show but to be honest it has the most horrible ending EVER! Ugh, I was just so annoyed! There are just more to be explained! What happen to Rory's relationship(s)? Do Lorelai and Luke finally get married? How about the relationship between Lorelai, Emily and Richard? It just ended like that you know. LIKE THAT, like that. After the sixth season, the original scriptwriters left the show due to some contract issue I think. You can see the downfall of this show starts during the seventh season. I really wish the original scriptwriter, Amy Sherman-Palladino would make a comeback and do us watchers some justice.
The last season just broke my heart. No closure? MEAN.
You see how important a closure is? You see how I am taking this personally?
London Girl!
MashaAllah, so many things has changed since the previous post.
I am now a Londoner. Finally, a university kid. Now, that was a long journey ey?

O Allah, I owe it all to you Ya Rabb. Alhamdulillah.
